I have not been here quite as often as I might have liked in the past 6 months but its one of the places that reminds me of why I love London. A friend asked me if I was interested in going to a riverside Christmas market. It sounded like fun but I was not too sure how a visit to a market in the cold, after dark and by the river would turn out. The location sealed the deal!
London’s Southbank is my favourite spot in London. But that’s a story for another day.
The food market is located outside the Royal Festival Hall and the Christmas market is along the river walk right infront of the Southbank centre.
I have no idea how long the market has been running but it closes at 10pm this season and therefore a quick dash to Waterloo after work might be nice..
This story is best told by the photos,,, from the biting cold to the yummy food, to the decorations, to the carousel, to the overhead trains and the antiques.. Southbank Christmas market is worth a visit!
